Business Protection Agreement for Departing Employee

Employers, use this template to prepare a Business Protection Agreement to be signed by a departing employee upon termination or resignation.

Provisions of the Agreement include:

confidentiality provision - the employee agrees not to disclose any of the employer's confidential business information,
non-competition provision - the employee will not engage in a business that competes with the employer's business for a specified period of time,
non-solicitation provision - the employee agrees not to solicit any of the employer's staff or customers, in order to induce them to leave.
