Nova Scotia Residential Lease / Tenancy Agreement

Nova Scotia landlords, rent a house, apartment, mobile home, or condominium to a tenant with this Residential Lease ⁄ Tenancy Agreement.

The Agreement can be used for either a fixed term lease (such as 6 months, 1 year, etc.) or for a periodic tenancy (month to month or week to week). The Agreement contains standard lease provisions such as:

responsibilities of the tenant and the landlord for upkeep, maintenance and repairs to the property;
late charges for overdue rent;
termination of the tenancy by either party;
procedure and grounds for serving a notice to quit;
special statutory conditions regarding mobile home leases.

The Agreement can also used to rent mobile homes or mobile home lots.
